The 2XI entertained Dringhouses at the tutor2u oval. After the regular warm up, Captian Rob Williams won the toss and elected to bowl.
Andy Heaps opened with another terrific spell of bowling. Eight overs one for 10 was the ideal start.
However, we needed the wicket of opener Coyle who despite giving a couple of chances – including a tough one to Gibson senior who injured his shoulder in the process, hit the ball well.
At 120/2 we needed a wicket. Sam Mottershead proceeded to do just that, Sam returned 7 wickets for 44. Dringhouses all out 142.
With Gibson dropping down the order, openers Riley and Knight started well against the opening bowlers. Extras helped the total to 82 prior to Jim being the first to fall. Enter Jim Turner to push the score along before Mark fell LBW.
With only a handful of runs required Steve Raine joined Jim Turner to finish the job.
A comfortable 7 wicket win. 30 points in the bag. Thanks to Phil Brown for umpiring. Well played TABS.
Next week away to Duncombe Park.
