3 out of 3 in the league for the under 15s

TABS under 15s welcomed local rivals Walton to the Tutor 2 U oval for their 3rd league match of the season. After a disappointing cup result last week the boys needed to bounce back.
After losing the toss TABS were put into bat and didn’t get off to the best of starts as 2 wickets fell early. However, Sturdy and Kilby managed to recover and got the score to 30 before Sturdy was ran out for a well-made 20. The best was yet to come as White joined Kilby in the middle. They both started to hit boundaries and tick the score along with great running between the wickets. They set the innings up for the rest of the batters as they both retired on 40 each. Walsh finished the innings off in style with support from Pritchard and Bentley. 140 for 4 off their 20 overs a solid first half effort.
After a team talk TABS set about matching the efforts of the first half and got off to a great start with a wicket-maiden in the first over from Tom Halstead. His brother Benji kept the runs down at the other end. The runs began to flow for Walton, however, the boys kept their cool and by taking chances and finishing the last 5 overs off with tight bowling managed to record a 23 run victory.
A solid performance gets us back on winning terms and gives us confidence to get a result away at Shadwell next Sunday.
